The Physiotherapist apprenticeship is a new and innovative route to ‘Learn while you Earn’ and combines 4 years of clinical employment, work based learning, and academic learning.

We are recruiting for a Physiotherapy Apprentice in East Sussex with the Children’s Therapies Team. During the apprenticeship you will develop skills and knowledge that will allow you to work in today’s dynamic and changing healthcare environment.

Whilst you will be based in one specific team, your placements will give you a variety of learning environments working across both internal and external clinical placements to gain an appreciation of the different areas of the local healthcare service.

Our integrated children's therapy service team including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, assistants and administrators support children aged 0-19.

We provide assessment, review, specialist advice, training and therapy interventions for children with the following areas of need: alternative and augmentative communication (AAC); pre-verbal communication; receptive and expressive language; speech.

We work in close partnership with schools, other education providers and the local authority services.

**The University of Brighton entry requirements are as follows**:

- Some form of *recent study at level 3 or above in for example: A levels: A high grade (A/B) in a Biological Science or Physical Education is considered to be an acceptable form of recent study. Open University: A grade 2 pass in Human Biology (SK277) is recognised as an acceptable form of recent study.

Successful completion of Associate Practitioner Course, Health and Social Care Foundation Degree, or other relevant level 3 courses
- Level 2 (GCSE or Functional Skills) in both Mathematics and English Language at grade C/ new grade 4 (or above)
