**Copywriter and Script Writer **to join our team based
**in Exeter. **Joining us on a
**full-time permanent** basis, you will receive a competitive salary of
**£45,000 - £50,000 per annum **plus excellent benefits.

**About the role**

As our Copywriter and Script Writer, you will be a part of our dynamic communications team and support our CEO and senior executive team in effectively communicating our messaging at events, media interviews, and through various written publications.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Collaborating with the CEO, Chief People Officer and other Senior Executives to develop and refine key messages and storylines for various communication platforms, including events, media interviews, press releases, and publications
- Writing high-quality, persuasive copy that conveys the company's brand identity, values, and key messages, while maintaining consistency across different channels
- Creating engaging and impactful scripts for presentations, speeches, and videos to be used by the CEO and senior executives
- Conducting thorough research and gathering information from various sources to ensure accuracy and credibility of content
- Editing and proofreading written materials for clarity, grammar, and tone, ensuring adherence to Pennon Group's tone of voice and communication principles
- Collaborating closely with the communications team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of messaging and consistent brand voice
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to ensure the company's messaging remains relevant and competitive
- Providing writing and editing support for internal communications, such as employee newsletters, intranet content, and executive communications
- Adapting writing style and tone to suit different target audiences, ranging from technical experts to the general public

**What we are looking for**:

- Proven experience as a copywriter, script writer, or in a similar role, preferably in a corporate or agency setting
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail
- Strong storytelling abilities, with the capacity to create compelling narratives from complex information
- Excellent research skills and the ability to gather information from diverse sources
- Proficiency in adapting writing style and tone to suit different audiences and platforms
- Familiarity with branding and messaging principles, with the ability to maintain consistency across various channels
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams and building relationships with key stakeholders
