Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Dementia Adviser to join our team. As a Dementia Adviser, you will provide support and guidance to individuals and families affected by dementia. Your role will involve offering advice, education, and resources to help improve the quality of life for those living with dementia.

**Duties**:

- Conduct assessments to determine the needs and challenges faced by individuals with dementia and their families
- Provide information, advice, and emotional support to individuals and families affected by dementia
- Develop personalized care plans based on individual needs and preferences
- Offer guidance on available community resources, support groups, and services for dementia care
- Educate caregivers on effective communication techniques and strategies for managing challenging behaviors associated with dementia
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including nurses and social workers, to ensure comprehensive care for individuals with dementia
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in dementia care to provide accurate information to clients
- Advocate for individuals with dementia and their families to ensure their rights are respected

**Experience**:

- Previous experience in a healthcare or social services setting, preferably working with individuals with dementia
- Knowledge of different types of dementia and their symptoms
- Familiarity with various care settings such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care services
- Strong understanding of person-centered care principles for individuals with dementia
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to empathize with individuals affected by dementia and their families
- First aid certification is preferred but not required

**Salary**: £26,500.00-£27,500.00 per year
