**Quality Inspector**

We are recruiting for a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of ultra-low loss amorphous transformer technology. Their flagship product saves money, energy and carbon and offers an innovative solutionto the worldwide challenge of reducing energy wastage.

They have a new and exciting opportunity for a **Quality Inspector** to join their expanding team.

**What’s the job**:

- Carrying out in-process and final inspection of transformers in line with quality standards and procedures prior to release.
- Carrying out good’s inwards product inspection
- Record and communicate all quality issues/information to the relevant Supervisors/Management Team.
- Capture, log and report data issues
- Control of quarantine process
- Ensure work is completed in a timely manner to meet all Customer and Quality Manager’s required target dates.
- Work with the operations department to ensure that all quality procedures are followed and finished product meet the customer’s specification requirements.
- Participate in company quality programmes e.g., Internal Audits, Calibration,

**Skills, Knowledge & Experience**:

- Experience of working in a similar role essential
- Experience of working to Quality Standards essential
- Experience of working within a production/engineering environment essential
- Experience of working with distribution transformers is desirable
- The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings
- Be able to communicate effectively both written and verbal at all levels and ensure communications are clear and understood
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience of working collaboratively with different teams
- Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment
- Flexible approach to deal with issues that may occur outside of normal working hours
- Strong attention to detail
- PC literate with working knowledge of excel and word.

**Salary and benefits**:

- Salary negotiable - circa 30K
- 37.5-hour week with early Friday finish
- 25 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays
