Bookkeeper

**Duties**:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
- Reconcile entries and maintain accurate ledgers
- Process accounts payable and receivable using appropriate accounting software
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Handle confidential information in a secure and professional manner
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Proficiency in using Sage
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
- AAT qualification or equivalent is desirable
- Maintaining fixed-asset register including additions & disposals, preparation & posting of monthly depreciation & agreeing to P&L / balance sheet
- Agree monthly payroll nominal report & post journal,
- Month-end reporting, assisting the Management team in preparation of statutory accounts
- Monthly P&L reviews, budgets & forecasts,
- Assisting with preparing detailed monthly P&L & balance sheet reports,
- Preparation of cashflow statements & controlling expenditure / cash flow for various
companies.
- Credit control and management of credit limits.
- Knowledge of the Construction Industry (CIS)
Pay: £25,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
