Bakery Assistant

The Roseate Villa Bath occupies a quiet corner of the city, moments’ walk from the heart of the iconic Bath, a city favoured for its heritage and cultural tourism. The Roseate Villa Bath is an intimate, luxury Bath hotel offering 21 exquisitely appointed rooms and suites.

**The Role**:
As a Bakery Assistant you will be responsible for assisting our Head Baker in the preparation and baking of our afternoon tea treats, while maintaining consistent standards of service and ensuring customer satisfaction.

The hours will vary between 16-24 hours per week, with weekends included.

**Bakery Assistant duties will be**:

- Support the kitchen team with food preparation throughout the shift, following the correct recipe and ensuring the proper use of equipment or utensils in line with Food Safety regulations
- Supports any special requests with FOH, including allergens. Always follows allergens procedures
- Advanced ability to multitask and follow instructions given by bakers.
- A keen eye for detail and the ability to create visually appealing displays of baked goods.
- Clean the kitchen after business hours and preparing it for the next day.
- Ability to manage ingredient inventories and to track expiry dates.
- Knowledge of food and health industry regulations, and following company policies
- Keep all workstations and kitchen areas clean in line with Food Safety regulations
- Ensure correct receipt of deliveries and then correct storage as per company standards, Food Safety regulations, and stock rotation rules
