**W Edinburgh is hiring Food Runners to join the SUSHISAMBA restaurant pre-opening team We invite you to play an integral part in bringing to life this unique project, opening November 2023.**

SUSHISAMBA celebrates the culture and cuisine of Japan, Brazil and Peru. The menus are a mix of new and signature dishes with an emphasis on bold flavours, the finest ingredients and artful presentations.

As part of the new W Hotel opening in the vibrant St James Quarter and with stunning views over the Scottish capital, our Edinburgh restaurant will be the latest beautiful restaurant to add to our current portfolio in Las Vegas, London, Dubai and Doha as well as planned openings in Bahrain and Riyadh.

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Restaurant Manager for W Edinburgh and SUSHISAMBA, as Food Runner you will be the key link between the Kitchen and our guests on the floor, ensuring they receive their meals in a timely fashion and answering any questions the may have on the dishes.

Joining the pre-opening team means you will be instrumental to the success of the hotel’s opening and beyond. We are looking for someone who is motivated, has an eye for detail, and would love to develop their hospitality skills

As Food Runner, key aspects of your role will include:

- Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
- Set tables to service standards
- Answer any questions on the menu selection
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding questions, length of wait, product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs and special requests
- Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with the food courses and beverages
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass and silver throughout the day
- Restock items
- Follow health and safety guidelines and policies to report accidents and injuries
- Work as a team with the rest of the SUSHISAMBA team, supporting wherever necessary as directed by your manager

**ABOUT THE PROPERTY**

W Edinburgh will bring bold architecture and a vibrant lifestyle offering to the Scottish capital. Behind a façade featuring a winding steel ribbon - reflecting the city’s festival spirit - this 12-storey structure will be the centerpiece of Nuveen Real Estate’s Edinburgh St James Quarter, incorporating retail, leisure and entertainment facilities along with residential apartments.

This W hotel aims to help redefine the city’s hospitality landscape. Accordingly, it’ll fuse the brand’s signature amenities with modern design and W Happenings, highlighting what’s new in design, fashion, music and culture.

The new W hotel will accommodate guests across 244 stylish guestrooms, including 45 suites. While staying here, guests will benefit from the brand’s signature Whatever / Whenever service philosophy.

A real highlight of this property will be its rooftop bar and outdoor terrace, pairing exciting cocktails and cuisine with 360-degree views over the historic city. Among the other noteworthy amenities planned are the W Lounge, a restaurant collaboration with SUSHISAMBA, a FIT workout facility and an AWAY spa, with special functions hosted in 2,450 sq ft of modern event space.
