We are Guenther Bakeries Europe, a division of CH Guenther & Son Inc., a leading international food manufacturing group supplying high quality bakery and grain-based products to leading quick-service restaurants and food retailers.

Our highly invested Heywood bakery has operated for over 30 years and houses 3 high speed production lines which manufacture up to 125,000 burger buns and English muffins per hour.

**What we offer**:
Basic rate of Pay: New starter rate £10.19ph increasing to £11.77ph after successfully completing training

Premiums:

- Saturday working: time and half
- Sunday & Public Holiday working: double time
- Late shift: 1.5 hrs of your basic pay per shift
- Night shift: up to 3.25 hrs of your basic pay per shift

Various Shift Patterns:

- 4 on 4 off, Days, Days/Nights, Nights (12-hour)
- 4 on 3 off, Rolling roster either fixed Days or fixed Nights (12-hours)
- 6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am - fixed, Working 5 days from 7 (8-hours)

25 days holiday (after qualifying period and based on shift pattern)

**Duties**:
Health and safety is at the forefront of everything we do. It is your duty to ensure you work in a safe manner, looking after your wellbeing and that of other members of the team.

As a food handler it is your responsibility to ensure that the food we produce is safe to eat by adhering to our food safety policies and procedures.

You are part of a team who are responsible for ensuring the goods we produce, bake and pack meet or exceed our customers expectation. That all quality and legislative checks are conducted on time and in full. You will be responsible for ensuring your area is clean and in safe working condition and that our strict Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) are followed at all time.

Although our process is highly automated there are levels of manual handling you may be required to undertake.

In order to do a great job a machine operator needs to ensure the equipment is set up and runs correctly. You will be the first to identify machine faults and will report these to the engineering team and supervisor.

Our products are manufactured on site from raw material all the way through to packed, finished goods. You will contribute at some point of this process be it through weighing the ingredients, operating our plant and equipment (mixing, dividing, proofing, baking, packing) to dispatching our products.

**Experience**:

- Industrial Food & Beverage Production Occupations: 1 year (preferred)
