**The prime responsibilities of this role will be to**:

- Overseeing the Accounts Payable function and preparing payment runs for authorisation.
- Overseeing the Accounts Receivable function including adequate debt collection procedures.
- Managing foreign currency exposure.
- Manage the accounting system to ensure consistent, accurate reporting.
- Preparing quarterly VAT returns.
- Preparing payroll monthly, including timely HMRC submissions.
- Month end reporting to trial balance stage including pre-payments and accruals
- Dealing with external partners including accountants and other professional advisors.
- Work with senior management to develop systems and procedures to help increase productivity / profitability.
- Implementing improved financial procedures
- Work in conjunction with external accounts service provider

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Evidence of qualification to suit job role
- Company accounts package is Exchequer by IRIS
- Excellent Excel skills.

**Person specification**:

- Highly motivated to drive change and improve standards across the company
- Confident communicator at all levels.
- Leadership skills and experience.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
