Brockenhurst College has an exciting opportunity for an **IT Technician / Curriculum Support Officer **to join their dedicated and enthusiastic team based in Brockenhurst. You will be working on a full-time basis on an annualised hours contract,in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£18,905 - £23,737 pro rata DOE.**

We are a high-achieving college who attract around 2,800 sixth form students across the region each year. We are based within the stunning New Forest National Park and offer our students a huge range of courses and superb facilities.

**As our IT Technician / Curriculum Support Officer you will**:

- Maintain classrooms: Signage, posters, desks, and chairs; Computer equipment
- To issue and monitor the return of equipment to staff and students
- To provide assistance where required to staff and students experiencing problems with their workstation's hardware
- To maintain the department 'mini networks' and web server systems
- To provide assistance in practical classroom sessions as required
- To log all requests for support or fault notification in the relevant database, together with the resolution of problems found into the call logging system, and to provide summary reports when requested
- To ensure that no undesirable or unlicensed software is installed on any workstation, and assist the IT Support Team in the resolution of any problems found
- To assist in the installation or upgrade of computer hardware and software, and ensure that each workstation has the latest anti-virus software installed and properly configured
- To participate in the organisation and implementation of regular maintenance and servicing of Equipment

**The ideal IT Technician / Curriculum Support Officer will need**:

- At least one year's current experience in an IT support role, supporting current technologies
- GCSE maths and English (grade 4/C minimum) or equivalent
- Experience with Windows 10/Linux
- Experience with Server/Client environments
- Experience with PC hardware and interfacing
- Network Printer and other peripheral support.
- Understanding of Networking environments.
- Basic understanding of telecommunication systems
- Appreciates that Health and Safety guidance must be followed
- The ability to follow section procedures systematically.
- The ability to document procedures clearly and systematically.
