**CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

As a CNC machinist within the manufacturing team, you will be responsible for programming setting and operating machines within our manufacturing department to produce a wide range of components that are used in the production of our watches.
Precision, quality, and a high attention to detail are all key skills required for this role.
A keen interest in manufacturing techniques, program accuracy and maximizing machine run times will form the foundation of this role.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

− On machine Programming, setting & operating of multi-axis machining centers and finishing machines

− Capable of taking a part from drawing to finished manufactured component

− Creating new programs and manufacturing processes for new components

− Developing existing programs and manufacturing processes for existing components

− Responsible for maintaining production output, cycle times & all associated production documentation

− Involvement in continuous improvement activities / lean processes

− Complete accurately all necessary material movement paperwork (i.e. Works
Orders, program changes)

− First off inspection

− Ability to perform fast set-ups / change overs

− Perform any additional operations necessary (including deburring) that are required to produce finished components

− Complete other tasks relevant to the role as assigned by the Manufacturing
Supervisor.

**KEY SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**

− Experience with Milling & Turning - ideally 5 Axis Mill Turn & Twin Spindle
Lathes.

− Completion of a recognised Engineering apprenticeship and hold a relevant
NVQ level 3 qualification or equivalent

− Minimum of 3-5 years Milling/Turning experience with grinding experience being advantageous.

− Precision Engineering background working with tight tolerances and must have the ability to maintain the highest quality standards at all times.

− Programming experience e.g. Fanuc (Celos Control) and Siemens Shop Mill.

− Must be self-sufficient - able to programme, set and operate multiple machines

− Read complex engineering drawings

− Able to work to tight tolerances

− Excellent attention to detail

− Quality conscience

− Inspect machined components and ensure that they are correct to drawing and within the required specification

− Good awareness of HS&E (health, safety and environment) requirements

− Ability to use Microsoft office
- outlook, work and excel at a basic level
