Junior Animal Technician

We are looking for a junior animal technician to join our friendly, hardworking team and be actively involved in the daily care and maintenance of animals within our aquatics biofacility in Cambridge.
Working under supervision, you will be involved in general husbandry of animals (primarily fish, with some Xenopus work) including; feeding, tank cleaning and carrying out of routine procedures to ensure the hygiene of animal accommodation as well as the general upkeep of the facility.
You will enjoy working with animals
- with particular interest and previous experience working with or caring for fish or other aquatic animals. You will be positive, reliable and able to interact with team colleagues and research staff. You will have a good general education with GCSE English, Mathematics and a Science (or equivalent) as well as NVQ or Diploma in Animal Welfare / Animal Husbandry (desirable). You may also have mínimal experience in a technical/laboratory setting.
