Our clients unparalleled CRM integration ( voice and communication system for sales and recruitment teams) unifies communications, improves data quality, increases productivity, and captures all conversations. They are looking for a Senior Principal TestAutomation Engineer paying an excellent salary and benefits inc pension and private healthcare.

They are based in central Leicester, (though **roles are mainly remote**) are a SaaS company, they create innovative technology that makes business communications easier, quicker and more powerful by providing advanced communications software. You can be based commutable from either the London or Leicester offices and the roles are very much**Hybrid** with plenty of work from home.

They have offices in Leicester, London, Sydney Australia and Boston in the US.

**As a well-rounded Test Automation Engineer your Skills and Experiences likely include**:

- Understand the Software development lifecycle and the need for fast and reliable testing.
- Have a background in automated test techniques and frameworks.
- Have experience using automation tools such as Selenium Webdriver, Cypress, Mocha/Jest, Postman, etc; and knowledge to create and maintain frameworks for testing.
- Possess a strong background and demonstrable experience in writing automated functional and integration tests in JavaScript,.Net SpecFlow(BDD) or other popular languages/frameworks.
- Have experience working with and testing REST APIs using Postman and API test frameworks using rest client, HttpClient.
- Experience defining non-functional tests cases using standard testing techniques.
- Experience working in an agile environment using frameworks such as Scrum & Kanban, with a focus on fast feedback and building quality in from the outset.
- Experience using tools such as Jira or Zephyr are desirable.
- Experience of developing a comprehensive testing strategy and seeing that through in implementation
- Experience of working closely with software engineers to guide testing practices in the team and shift left
- Knowledge of Telephony systems and AWS advantageous.

**Day-to-day, you will**:

- Be working in a cross-functional engineering squad on business-critical, customer-facing products. We are an organisation that has recently embraced the shift-left approach. As such the successful applicant will be an individual who will help with the deliveryof automation testing, creating test plans to ensure full coverage in alignment with organisation best practices.
- You will be part of a squad that will own and contribute to all test activities surrounding automation testing; including CI/CD, supporting a shift-left mentality using TDD/BDD, conducting regular functional and regression testing and working with the productmanager to ensure smooth and regular releases. This role requires frequent communication with stakeholders, so confident and concise communication is necessary to succeed.
- You will be an advocate for quality in all aspects of the SDLC. This includes active participation in defining the acceptance criteria for new features and ensuring the high standards set by the team are met (e.g., Definition of Done). You will be responsiblefor prioritising your work based on the sprint goals and will work collaboratively with your squad to achieve them. Transparency of work and fast feedback are essential.
