**Network Analyst - £37,000/Swindon/Hybrid**
My client is a not-for-profit organisation based in Wiltshire that are looking for a Network Analyst to join their team. They have over 400 sites across the UK which is made up on historic monuments, buildings and places - which attract over 10 million visitorsper year.
You will be playing an instrumental role in the Technology Services team, working with stakeholders to help with discovery and documentation of our current sites network infrastructure which supports site local services such as BMS, CCTV, Commercial systemsetcYou will work with the Network Architect and other key stakeholders and suppliers to assist the planning of a new fit-for-purpose and future-proofed communication infrastructure across our diverse estate.
The role will require significant amounts of travel to our sites to support the demands of the business. A proportion of these sites are in remote and rural locations, therefore resilience and the ability to work independently is key.
**What you'll be doing as part of the team**
- Working in a multidisciplined team which is geographically dispersed.
- You will be working in conjunction with a wide range of internal stakeholders in a Matrix Management structure, reporting to the Network Architect, within the Technology Services Department.
- You will provide hands-on support in the delivery of technical audit and discovery across our diverse historical estate, identifying single points of failure and other potential technical risks in our communications infrastructure. You will support thetriage of technical changes identified and delivered through the appropriate change management processes.
- Supporting the analysis and implementation governance of innovative network solutions designed to provide improved service to internal and external customers, whilst maintaining business continuity for key services. Services include Wi-Fi, Commercial systems,Security systems, Telephony, BMS etc.
- Identify existing network infrastructure, produce and maintain accurate network diagrams with associated documentation in conjunction with suppliers, colleagues and partners.
- Oversee the implementation of technical solutions by external suppliers and third parties, ensuring that the delivery meets the design requirements and can be accepted into service.
**Who we're looking for**
- Experience in hands-on installation, configuration and management of switches and routers.
- Good high-level knowledge/experience of networking protocols and technologies such as LAN (vLan, TCP), WAN (MPLS), Telecoms (Cloud and on prem).
- Excellent analytical capability with the ability to methodically evaluate information and develop appropriate recommendations.
- Experience of working in 2nd and 3rd line support roles specialising in Networks, Telecoms and Engineering fields.
- Any previous experience in solution design and delivery of LAN and WAN solutions.
- Must have broad working knowledge with design, migration and support of network and telecoms infrastructure.
