**HYBRID JOB 3 DAYS EDINBURGH TWO FROM HOME**

Their leading edge indoor vertical farming towers allow IGS to control the weather and grow a range of plants, crops, fruit and herbs simultaneously at optimum conditions anywhere in the world.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**

IGS is seeking a Legal Intern to join our Edinburgh office and play a central role in ensuring contractual compliance across the business. You will report into the Head of Legal and Contracts and work closely with the commercial functions (including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Human Resources) as well as the Legal team.

The role will provide you with the opportunity to get involved directly in contract negotiation and drafting across a number of geographies. This may include advising IGS on project specific work such as health & safety and data protection, through to reviewing and advising on incoming legislation and requirements, the consequences of these for IGS, and highlighting the relevant actions that need to be taken. You will be asked to summarise and present your experience in a departmental meeting at the end of the programme.

**WHAT DOES SUCCESS LOOK LIKE?**

The primary focus will be on supporting the legal team on implementation of specific projects as well as providing broader support to the legal team.

You will:

- Be directly involved with strategic projects
- Review, negotiate and prepare draft contracts directly supporting the IGS business
- Gain understanding and appreciation of contract law fundamentals
- Learn about data privacy law and how it impacts IGS
- Prepare training for parts of the business on legal matters
- Understand the regulatory framework surrounding a business

Your experience as a legal intern will set you on the path to a legal career. Legal internships will also provide invaluable insight into how the legal department interacts with other departments within an organisation such as sales, human resources, and finance.
