Highway Operative

BCP Council’s Highway Delivery Team are looking for new Skilled Highway Operatives to join us in the delivery of works including Routine Maintenance, Construction Schemes, Winter Service provision and much more. Do you meet one, or more of the following criteria and are happy to work outside in the fresh air?
- Experience in Highways Maintenance
- Experience in Highways Construction/Resurfacing
- Experience in the deployment of Traffic Management on rural and urban roads, including high speed networks

Additional opportunities may exist to participate in a paid standby rota and receive enhanced payments for working additional, or unsocial hours.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which all of our employees will move on to. It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right. We’re hoping to implement these changes in 2024 and all colleagues joining us will be included in these changes.
