**Remote work**:
minimum 60% office based hours so 3x days office based and 2x days remote

Any one with a background in electronics OR manufacturing will be fast tracked.

You must have attantion to detail as dealing with complex engineering drawings and revising drawings for new products.

All the new bills and products will need updaing and they are reviewing their current electronic system so will need someoen to take control and assist with replacing the PLM system and set up new proceedures.

You will be working along one part time senior member of staff and therefore have full control and need to be the go to perso to ensure drawings are accurate and all BOMS are corect before they go to production

**Initial month on the job**:

- Familiarisation and support of the UK document processes, procedures and product portfolio.
- Shadowing current Document Controller.
- Reviewing project folders, processing documents.

**Daily Tasks**:

- Maintaining databases containing company documents and information.
- Creating documents templates.
- Distributing documents to project teams and stakeholders.
- Tracking project folders through the product life cycle.
- Reviewing project folders, documents and drawings for accuracy.
- Liaising with Engineering team members to ensure all documents meet requirements.
- Promote the understanding of consistency in engineering documentation.
- Long term - training Engineers on the use of company document systems.
- Long term - work with auditors to maintain ISO status.
- Long term - monitoring purchase orders.

**Documentation Levels**:
Specifications, Bill of Materials, Drawings, Engineering Change Notes, Assembly Instruction, Component Requests, Department Procedures, Test Specifications

**Required skills**:

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, especially Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong administration skills.
- Excellent problem solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough attention to detail to ensure documents are accurate and made to specifications.
- Filing and organisational skills for electronic and hard copy document storage.
- Ability to provide step by step technical help, both written and verbal.
- Professional interpersonal skills.
- Use of initiative.
- Flexibility within the workplace.
- Level 3 qualifications, for example; A-Levels or L3 NVQ
- Level 4 qualifications, for example; HNC, diploma or L4 NVQ
- 3 years working within an administration environment

**Desired skills**:

- Previous experience of working of working within a multi-discipline design team.
- Understanding of document control systems.
- Use of Product Lifecycle Management software.
- Ability to write department procedures and rules based on relevant standards.
- Ability to produce progress reports.
- Knowledge and experience in developing electronic and electro-mechanical products.
- Experience of working in an engineering or industrial environment, with understanding of industry terminology.
