P&C Agricultural Underwriter

**Role: P&C Agricultural Underwriter**

**Location: Knaresborough**

This role is available to anyone that has insurance experience alongside knowledge of farm and agricultural practices. With an average tenure of 10 years, you will be trained by some of the best underwriters in the country that have specialised in agriculturalrisks.

You will join an MGA that is part of one of the world’s leading independent brokers. My client has a wide underwriting footprint and is based in the London market and in Europe. They offer a diverse product range including commercial and personal products.

This role involves underwriting predominantly existing business, with some new business, for Property and Casualty Agricultural products. You will have the chance to work with top brokers and insurers to drive growth of the business.

**What does this position involve?**
- Working on renewals for property and casualty products within the agricultural sector including livestock and commercial buildings etc.
- Manually underwriting all risks
- Dealing with risks from UK and Northern Ireland territories
- Predominantly underwriting mid-market sized premiums

**What do I need to be considered?**
- Knowledge of the general agricultural area/livestock/farming experience
- Previous insurance experience, either relating to agricultural or property and casualty products
- Underwriting practice is ideal
