**Night Porter/Security (FULL-TIME)**

**Starting Rates of Pay**:

- £11.73 - £12.20 p/h midweek, £12.32 - £12.80 p/h weekends.

**About the Manor House & Ashbury Hotels**
- We are two Sport, Craft and Spa Hotels, located just outside of Okehampton in Devon, UK.
- Our Ashbury Hotel is also the 9th largest golf resort in the world

**Duties: -**
- Look after the well-being and health of hotel guests (first aid, training will be provided).
- Deal with any late night guest enquiries.
- Ensure the buildings are protected (i.e. security/patrolling).
- General Maintenance.
- Some cleaning routines i.e. resetting seating areas for the morning etc.
- Swimming Pool testing/cleaning etc.
- Monitoring CCTV.
- Responsible Person or assistant to the responsible person in the Event of a Fire.

**Accommodation can be provided (although local applicants preferred): -**
- Single en-suite rooms available (communal lounge, kitchen and laundry facilities - £50 per week rent, all bills included).
- The staff Block has recently been refurbished and is in good condition

**Hours**:

- FULL-TIME - Shift Work.
- As a full-time employee you would generally be expected to work 5 nights of the week.
- Normal shift pattern is 11.00pm-7.00am.
- MUST have weekend availability.

**Person Specification**:

- Need to be responsible, and capable of working alone and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Calm, clear thinking - able to work effectively in the rare event of an emergency situation.
- Leadership, must be able to think on your feet.
- **MUST BE RELIABLE, excellent attendance critical.**:

- Able to prioritise.
- Must be able to work weekends (higher rate of pay for weekend shifts).
- Fast worker, when required to be.
- Looking for an honest, hardworking individuals.
- Must be a DRIVER, as will be required to work at both Resorts (which are a couple of miles apart).

**Benefits**:

- Social/Sports membership (i.e. gym, swimming, tennis etc) is approx. £35 per year. **Children can also be added for £10 each per year**.
- Golf is approx. £130 per year.
