An exciting opportunity now exists for an enthusiastic Facilities (cleaning) Supervisor to join our friendly Community Hospital team. You will be based at our Swanage Hospital site and be 'hands on' cleaning and managing the day to day running of the cleaning and porters’ teams, as well conducting cleaning audits, completing rosters and other basic administration tasks.

The position is for 25 hrs hours per week - Monday to Friday mostly AM shifts however some flexibility is required.

The successful applicant will be an established team leader with preferably good knowledge of professional cleaning in a clinical environment. You should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the expectations of a hospital cleaning service and ideally have some experience working in a related supervisory role.

**Duties will be varied and include**:

- Day to day supervision of the domestic cleaning and porter team
- Carrying out cleaning audits, pre-planned activities to include deep cleaning, floor scrubbing.
- Using established Trust IT systems, plan annual leave and rosters, report maintenance issues and assist the team in accessing broader Trust communications.
- Leading and working alongside the team flexibly with a "hands on approach"
- Staff training and mentoring.
- Communicating with other Trust departments regarding domestic cleaning and porter issues

Employment in this post requires a Standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of.
