A Registrar in Urology is a medical professional who has progressed beyond the level of Senior House Officer (SHO) and is undergoing advanced training in the field of urology. Their role involves a combination of clinical practice, patient care, surgical training, and professional development. Here's a detailed job description for a Registrar in Urology:

- Conduct thorough assessments of patients with urological conditions, including taking medical histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests.
- Manage the pre
- and post-operative care of patients undergoing urological procedures.
- Develop proficiency in various urological surgical techniques, including endoscopic procedures, open surgeries, and mínimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and robotic surgery.
- Conduct outpatient clinics to assess new and follow-up urology patients, discussing treatment options and providing ongoing care.
- Supervise and teach junior medical staff, including SHOs and medical students, providing guidance in patient management, surgical techniques, and clinical decision-making.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and expected outcomes.
