We are looking for Freight Coordinator, who will be working as part of a team to ensure responsible and effective planning of shipments on behalf of the International Healthcare Control Tower’s clients. This must be achieved efficiently and in accordance with our strict operating procedures to ensure optimal internal and external relations with the customers, our independent resources i.e. haulier networks, and local Yusen offices/hubs.

The salary on offer is up to £25000.00 per annum (Subject to experience). You will be expected to work Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00.

Key responsibilities:

- Overseeing agreed procedures as a control tower for healthcare business.
- Acting as the direct contact between the clients and the relevant origin branches and external carriers where applicable.
- Ensuring costs received and debits raised are as per the agreed levels.
- Any exceptional charges are captured and reported internally & externally where applicable.
- Ensuring all operations adhere to the route lane designs agreed and approved by quality managers within Yusen and the client.
- Investigations by the compliance dept are supported in full, with appropriate actions as a control tower team.
- Producing required reports for management and clients where necessary.
- Remote and actual site visits to clients and suppliers to ensure business reviews and continuous improvement processes.
- To engage with the clients fully and realise their expectations to the required level.
- To be the initial conduit for all bookings, queries, and finance related issues for portfolio of clients.

Key requirements:

- An understanding of all aspects of freight operations.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
- The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing business needs and priorities.
