**SPR **are proud to be working in partnership with an established client to recruit for Qualified **Outreach Tutors** based within and the surrounding areas of the **South/East** **Staffordshire** region.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Enhanced DBS.
- Full, clean, UK drivers license with access to own vehicle with business insurance.
- QTS (Qualified Teaching Status) Qualification, with at least 2 years post qualification experience in teaching/learning.
- Ability to teach students of all ages at varying levels of understanding and proficiency.
- Experience assessing the progress of assigned students to ensure effective processes.
- Professional experience preparing lesson plans and personalised instruction.
- Education in teaching methodology, theory, and processes.
- Experience of working with children and young people with additional and complex support needs.
- Experience of working with children and young people with additional and complex support needs.
- Thorough understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection.

**Responsibilities of the Outreach Tutor**:

- Schedule tutoring appointments with parents/carers and students
- Assess the academic progress of assigned students against benchmarks
- Assess and support the social and emotional progress of assigned students
- Plan creative lessons to engage and educate students
- Establish a friendly, encouraging, and welcoming environment for students
- Connect with parents/carers to keep them informed of their child’s progress and areas of improvement
- Collaborate with the student’s family to ensure a smooth transition from home learning/alternative provision to mainstream setting

**Job Type**: Temporary contract

**Salary**: £30.00-£35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 20 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Education**:

- Bachelor's (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 2 years (preferred)
- Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
