Logistics Supervisor

Parker Transport provides tailored logistics solutions for a wide range of warehousing and distribution requirements. Due to continued expansion, we have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Supervisor.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Follow the transport plan and control it to the following day to ensure vehicles are used cost effectively to deliver and collect loads on time.
- Continually review the transport plan and make effective changes when required
- Notify customers when problems with deliveries occur.
- Administrate tasks relating to bookings & KPI’s.
- Maintain regular contact with the Drivers and Sub Contractors to ensure the daily plan is running smoothly and that deliveries and collections.
- Advise drivers of start times to ensure the following days plan can operate successfully.
- Ensure that all movements are performed in conjunction with customer requirements, predicting potential issues with regular contact with drivers in regards to late deliveries & collections.
- Ensure that drivers are advised of specific customer and job requirements.

**You will need**:

- Experience within the Transport industry including freight planning and vehicle utilisation
- An understanding of differing modes of road transport
- Ability to collaborate with several operational departments within the business
- A good IT understanding, including TMS input
- Strong customer service level
- Commitment to the business and industry
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work efficiently within a team and individually

**Additional Details**:

- Salary £37,000 dependant on experience
- This is a full-time position Monday to Friday 47.5 hours per week

- Transport Management CPC favourable however enrolment within a course will be supplied.
