CALLING ALL SPORTY, FUN AND OUTGOING PEOPLE
Five Education is supporting a Secondary school in East Bristol and we are looking for a one-one SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work on a supply basis As a TA, you will be assisting a variety of students with classwork, their ability to build and maintaingood relationships with others, and encouraging and guiding them to achieve their goals. The important element of this role is to build solid relationships with the students. Following that, you'll be working with students to cater the curriculum to theirunique strengths.
Responsibilities and duties:
Supporting 1:1 in class
Help pupils to access the curriculum to their strengths and possibly tailor the lesson of the activity to their level of ability
Make learning fun and enjoyable
Be a support to the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to calm down and remain focussed
Build a strong relationship with the pupils and teaching staff to ensure that the pupils are achieving their potential
Essential Criteria:
Enthusiastic about working with young people and SEN, previous experience is preferred but not necessary
2-years worth of references
A relevant DBS check
Able to work between the hours of 8:30 and 15:30 and a minimum of 2 days per week
Access to a bicycle, bus, or car

Vetting: Five Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all of the staff we employ to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undergo checks including reference checks,and TRA checks and will need to have a DBS; there will also be a face-to-face interview.
