**Microbiology Scientist (R&D), Medical Devices**
**Salary**:

Location:
- Liverpool initially, moving to Deeside (new site)
Hours: (Mon - Friday)
Additional: Expenses will be provided whilst commuting to Liverpool. 23 holidays + BH, Attendance Bonus, Private Medical, Company Pension etc.
Russell Taylor is working exclusively with a global medical device / microbiology company
- this exciting role will be based at their brand-new state of the art site in Deeside once the side is fully operational (initially in Liverpool at their HQ).
**Responsibilities**
- Carry out existing product and new product development activities.
- Conduct reviews of literature, carry out research studies to enhance experimental design, analyse data and report in the form of a written report.
- Be responsible for performing scientific and documentary activities related to regulatory requirements e.g
- IVDD & IVDR
- To ensure that products are designed and manufactured correctly so that they do not compromise the health and safety of patients
- Support senior staff
- customer complaints, production problems and assistance with validation studies
- Participate in laboratory project meetings
- To aid senior staff for sales & marketing and lab personnel
- Provide cover for quality control staff when necessary
- Prepare and present written reports
- SOPS, compliance with regulatory standards, company policy etc.
**The Person**
- BSc/MSc Life Science (micro/biochemistry/biomedical science/biology etc).
- Experience working with antibiotic pharmacology.
- Experience working in a highly regulated industry (GMP, GLP or ISO 13485, IVDR or NHS work) with a focus on microbiology test work.
- Experience in performing antimicrobial susceptibility testing
- Will have performed bioassays
- Understanding of journals & research studies or conducting reports or experience in report writing. Will ideally have experience peer reviewing literature and systematic literature reviews.
- Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail.
**Salary**: £26,000.00-£29,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
