Currock Engineering Co Ltd are looking to recruit a Paint Sprayer, for a growing **Defence and Aerospace Precision Engineering Company.**The company has scheduled orders out to 2026 and works closely with OEM on classified R&D projects. This is an exciting role which involves working with precision components that are maskedand sprayed to an extremely high standard.
The applicant must be able to work in a close team environment. Experience in working in the Aerospace and Defence industry ideal but not essential. On the job training will be provided and support given by the existing Team Leader.
Good communications skills required with your immediate work colleagues with the ability to work to deadlines. Capable of managing multiple jobs with good organisation skills.
Overtime is expected which is paid at a higher rate
**Duties**:
- Spraying a full range of precision engineered components produced in the factory at Chelmsford using conventional spraying techniques
- You will be situated in the on-site spray booths working within a small team of experienced hand sprayers
- Paint mixing
- Working to specifications ensuring all components are sprayed to the highest standard.
- Operation of various spray guns and hand tools
- Taking responsibility for the general upkeep of the factory and machinery
- Manual handling - moving and stacking components ready for transportation
- Reading of measurements and technical drawings to ensure precision of work
- Masking as and when required to assist current team
- Working to deadlines with the ability to work under pressure without compromising on standards
- Keeping your work area clean and tidy
