We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal applicant will be able to support our bakers in producing high-quality baked goods, including cake decorating, packaging, preparing ingredients, and cleaning the bakery.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the preparation, baking, decoration, and packaging of various bakery items
- Work to strict recipes
- Operate kitchen equipment under supervision
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines
- Assist in inventory management and stock rotation

**Desirable qualities**:

- Hard-working in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work alone and complete tasks using initiative
- Ability to work early starts and/or late finishes
- Able to work under pressure
- Job role includes standing on feet all day, mobility is a must

**Qualifications and experience**:

- Previous experience in a bakery, kitchen, or food production environment preferred but not necessary (a portfolio will be required for interview if no formal experience is applicable)
- Knowledge of baking techniques and food preparation methods
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Culinary or cooking background is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
- Full U.K. driving license

This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about baking to gain hands-on experience in a friendly bakery setting. There may be opportunities to cover shifts in our coffee lounge and/or attend food festivals as required to showcase our company.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
