**What is the role about?
Based in Holborn, London at the Sainsbury’s Support Centre and at home, an exciting opportunity for a Lead Insight Consultant has become available to join the fun, energetic & collaborative Data & Insight team, part of the Nectar360 Commercial team. You will be responsible for ensuring we hit our Data & Insight revenue objectives, lead our client & colleague insight engagement all supported by our industry leading customer data set and insight propositions.

Nectar360 (N360) offers clients comprehensive multi-channel marketing solutions in and around Sainsbury's and Argos stores and online. We have a unique approach to store and customer planning. Using Nectar, the UK's most comprehensive customer database, their teams conduct advanced analysis to uncover new insights about shopper interactions and brands.

**What you will be doing**:
**Champion our Data & Insight services with our clients and within Sainsbury’s**
- Raise the profile of N360 Insight & Data services within clients/Sainsbury’s suppliers and Sainsbury’s trading teams
- Build strong relationships with Sainsbury’s senior stakeholders (Business Unit Directors, Category Managers, Senior Category Planners, Buyers) to ensure they understand the role of N360 and the benefit of working withN360
- Build relationships with Sainsbury’s central functions (price & promotions, ranging, trading insights) to ensure they are aligned with N360’s engagement with trading
- Facilitate relationships between clients, N360 Insight Consultants and relevant stakeholders in Sainsbury’s on a project-by-project basis
- Understand and align to Sainsbury’s supplier tiering (strategic, tactical, transactional) in order to build insight frameworks where N360 add value to the existing insights used by Sainsbury’s Understand the role of trading insights, other central functions such as Customer Insight and other agencies to avoid duplicating work

**Identify insight opportunities for client/supplier funded Nectar360 led Insight Consultancy projects**
- Overall commercial and budget responsibility for business units (budget includes a constant focus on margin)
- Budget includes Sainsbury’s Insight Platform (SIP), Insight consultancy, Market Research (MR), Customer Analytics and new data initiatives (should these transpire)
- Use close relationships with client/suppliers and Sainsbury’s trading teams to unlock revenue opportunities for our Insight Services
- Understand Joint Business Plans (JBP) and other supplier/Sainsbury’s relationships to ensure opportunities align with both Sainsbury’s and supplier priorities
- Engage with senior stakeholders in clients (strategic partners) to understand their business priorities and influence the allocation of their insight budgets Facilitate 3-way relationships between N360, clients/suppliers and Sainsbury’s where appropriate.

**Manage a team of Insight Consultants**
- Motivate, manage, develop and retain a team of commercial and delivery focussed insight consultants.
- Handle any employee related issues that may arise within the team in conjunction with HR Recruit the best talent available, outlining job specifications, identify and refer top talent in the market, conduct briefings/interviews/assessments/feedback, etc.

**Commercial leadership**
**- **Support Insight Consultants in identifying Data & Insight opportunities for our key clients
- Ensure Insight Consultants have all relevant Sainsbury’s knowledge to support consultative selling with clients
**- **Support writing of insight strategies that align to the overall client annual plans

**Delivery leadership (FMCG Insight Consultants)**
- Provide thought leadership in producing high impact insight consultancy projects, and the ways to present these back to the client
- Advise Insight Consultants on the best use of other N360 functions to ensure that outputs remain market leading
- Create opportunities for more junior team member to develop insight and client facing skills and end-to-end project ownership

**Find insight gaps in Sainsbury’s / clients portfolio and develop relevant propositions**
- Design new propositions in conjunction with Sainsbury’s and pilot solutions with clients
**- **Work closely with MR and N360 & Sainsbury’s Analytics team to ensure all opportunities for multi-source projects are identified
- Work closely with the N360 Insight Propositions & Analytics teams when these solutions require automation
- Stay abreast of new developments in FMCG, retail and insight analytics thought industry journals and appropriate conferences and events

**Adopt senior role in raising the visibility of Data & Insights services**
- Raise profile within Nectar360, Sainsbury’s and clients of our SIP and insights consultancy capabilities
