**Title: Machine and Saw Operator / Fabricator**

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a CNC Operator. You will be required to operate computer numeric-controlled heavy machinery. You will also need to understand how the machinery functions and assists with setup and day-to-day operations. You will also Inspect machines and keep them maintained so that production processes continue smoothly and safely.

**Responsibilities**:

- Calculate and write programs for CNC machines to fabricate component parts to stated
- engineering specifications.
- Ensure the CNC machine operates in accordance with the guidelines of the company.
- Following established safety and efficiency procedures to ensure that operations run smoothly.
- Performing proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories
- Oversee the machines while they execute the tasks and make the necessary changes to produce improved results.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.
- Record all machine actions by completing production and quality logs.
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.
- Inspect the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift.

**Requirements**:

- Confidence and the ability to troubleshoot problems.
- Attention to detail - there are often many steps involved in a process, so must be familiar with the details of each. Must follow Standard Operating Procedures closely and must observe all features of the working environment.
- Alert - must be able to quickly identify when the manufacturing process is deviating from normal.
- Calm under pressure - must be able to confidently address problems if they arise, take appropriate action, and involve others when needed.
- Good communication skills - written skills are important to ensure clear documentation, and verbal and listening skills are important to ensure efficient transfer of information between colleagues.

**Computer systems**:

- Microsoft 365 package (Outlook, SharePoint, One Drive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Windows-based system/drives
- Site Audit Pro/SnagR
- iAuditor
- Specialised software systems that client contracts dictat

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00 per year
