**About the role**

Due to expansion Pilgrim Foodservice Ltd is looking for a Transport Compliance Co-ordinator to join our ever-expanding Transport Department If you have great communication skills, people skills and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same, then we have the job for you

As a compliance coordinator you are involved in supporting all aspects of transport compliance, fleet performance and maintenance. Supporting in the management of the safety, legality, and regulatory compliance of the Transport operation, ensuring that all vehicles/drivers are always legally compliant.

As part of the role, you will need to maintain professional and effective relationships with both internal team members and external business associates. You will support with vehicle maintenance and servicing schedules to minimise downtime and have proficiency in relevant software programs including databases and spreadsheets. During peak operations provide support to the Transport Supervisor’s to assist with organising drivers so that they can perform safely and efficiently.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Maintain accurate and timely records in relation to all vehicle operations and ensure appropriate company documentation is completed accurately and to agreed company standards by the transport team.
- Support in operational audits, including O licence compliance and site compliance (BRC). Maintain high standards of H&S and Food safety at all times.
- Ensure the company’s vehicle fleet is safe for use, presenting the right company image and always meets legislative and QMS standards.
- Plan and schedule preventative maintenance, repairs, servicing, MOT's etc to allow minimum disruption to the business.
- Maintain and support with preventative maintenance service schedules for the vehicle fleet to ensure it is served in accordance with contracts with the vehicle manufacturer and/or VOSA guidelines. Maintain accurate records for reference in accordance with appropriate legislation.
- Monitor various compliance management systems to identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues and provide general guidance to drivers on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
- Ensure all drivers are operating within legal parameters and that they have the correct records in relation to Tachographs and Drivers log sheets and recommending further action to Fleet & Compliance Manager.
- Manage vehicle damage reporting, ensuring that investigations are carried out to find the cause of the damage, taking action where appropriate.
- Support in driving and maintaining our high level of customer service across the business.
- Ensure an effective handover is conducted internally within the department and externally with other relevant Supervisors/Managers before the start of each shift (when required).
- Assist in forward plans for labour requirements that reflect anticipated Transport activity and ensure adequate driver cover at all times.
- Demonstrable experience in supporting and assisting a company’s compliance, both on the drivers as well as the fleet level.
- National CPC (desirable) F
- First-class relationship building skills along with good planning and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to identify errors to raise high standards and quality to achieve continuous improvement.

- Knowledge of relevant environmental and safety laws and regulations.
