***About the role**:
As senior DSL, you will be an exceptional senior leader with a demonstrable commitment to helping all pupils achieve their best, despite their background. This leadership role will be naturally varied and challenging and will provide ideal preparation for full Headship. You will enjoy a high level of visibility, autonomy and impact, and we are seeking an individual who can recognise our existing strengths - but challenge our community to even greater achievements. You will be empowered to improve policy, processes and practice in all areas of our work. You will work alongside the senior team to secure an exceptional climate for learning to support student ambition.

**About You**:
To be successful, you will need to:

- have innovative techniques that can be used to improve attendance throughout the Academy,
- show a track record of implementing an innovative and robust personal development curriculum,
- have a proven experience of driving change and showing initiative,
- be willing to identify pro-active solutions.

**About us**:
The City of Peterborough Academy was opened in September 2013 by Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT) after a £13.8m capital build. Based on Reeves Way in Peterborough, the academy has quickly grown from strength to strength. A dedicated team of staff aim to help support every child in reaching their full potential. Additionally, we have been described as a truly ‘inclusive school’ at our recent National Inclusion Quality Mark inspection and have also been awarded 'Centre of Excellence Status'. We were also ‘runners up’ at the 2020 National SEN awards for National Most Inclusive Practice.

Both our Academy and Greenwood Academies Trust are committed to supporting pupils and staff alike. Providing pupils with the highest-quality education is of the utmost importance but we recognise that in order to achieve this, teachers and staff must be properly supported with strong leadership, a climate of trust, research and innovation, and ongoing CPD opportunities.

**In Return**:
Our Academy is part of Greenwood Academies Trust (GAT), a highly successful Trust with a proven track record for school improvement. The Trust provides centralised services and support to enable staff to focus on teaching. Being part of the Trust means that we are able to share specialist best practice and work collaboratively with colleagues in other academies. As a GAT employee you will receive excellent opportunities for career progression and access to bespoke CPD from our Learning Alliance to enhance your professional growth.
