**Flexible Climbing Coaches**

**Location: Indoor Tennis Arena and Ozone Complex**

**Salary: Up to £14.29 per hour (including annual leave allowance)**

GLL is looking for climbing coaches to work at Indoor Tennis Arena and Ozone Complex. Our climbing coaches sit within our junior brands division as the majority of our sports courses we deliver are to children; nationally over 120,000 children attend our sports courses.

As a climbing coach you’ll be highly motivated and committed to engage and inspire pupils of all ages and abilities within a safe setting. Providing a fun, friendly and encouraging environment you’ll pass on your knowledge to help improve pupil’s climbing performances whilst teaching the fundamental skills - you’ll get great satisfaction seeing pupils progress and develop.

Your Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) qualification will ensure that you can comfortably deliver high-quality sessions at a variety of levels, abilities and age groups from children through to experienced adults.

- A First Aid qualification
- Rock Climbing Instructor RCI - Rock Climbing Development Instructor RCDI - Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor MCI - Desirable

- Proficiency in teaching climbing techniques and safety procedures in an indoor setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with climbers of all ages and abilities
- Ability to assess risks and respond appropriately to ensure a safe climbing environment
- Strong organisational skills for planning and conducting climbing sessions
- Knowledge of climbing equipment and facility operations
- Previous experience instructing climbers in an indoor climbing gym or similar environment
- Experience working with diverse groups of climbers, from beginners to advance
- Evidence of providing excellent customer service and creating a positive climbing experience for participants
- Enthusiastic and passionate about indoor climbing and sharing that passion with others
- Collaborative and supportive attitude towards colleagues and climbers
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of climbers and the demands of the centre environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Physical fitness and agility to demonstrate climbing techniques and assist climbers as needed
