My and Me are looking an individual who has experience in the primary school sector and wants to work as a tutor. We are looking for someone who is passionate to deliver and support primary school children in a private setting.

You will be working in both 1-1 and potentially in small groups with a range of ages and abilities (KS1 and KS2). This tutoring role is not online and is located in our setting outside Blackheath station.
This role is open to anyone with experience of the primary curriculum.
This is an exciting role for anyone looking to make a difference to a child’s life and see the impact 1-1 or small group tutoring can have on a child.
The hours are Monday to Friday after school (15:15 to 18:00) and potentially Saturday morning (if this is something you are interested in).
**As a successful tutor you will possess**:
- Have recent experience in teaching and/or a background as a tutor (ESSENTIAL)
- Have an Enhanced DBS or willing to get one
- Good knowledge of the primary curriculum (phonics in particular)
- Be able to explain key concepts fluently and accurately
- Be prepared to tutor face to face
- The ability to work to the school’s scheme of work and provide constructive and effective feedback
- Good time management to fully utilise the sessions.
- Experience With SEN desirable
- Ability to manage a small team and train individuals to support you in assisting the children to deliver what has been planned.
The role will include but not limited to:
- Safeguarding children in accordance with national and local policies and procedures
- Setting up the space including moving furniture and play equipment as required
- Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment;
- Manage the set-up and delivery of tuition programmes
- Providing an inclusive and welcoming environment that incorporates the children’s ages, interests and abilities.
- Developing and maintaining excellent communication with parents and the children you tutor.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £30.00 per hour

- Diploma of Higher Education (required)
