**We are currently recruiting for a Healthcare Supervisor to be responsible for the provision of an effective and efficient Domestic Service. Holding day to day responsibility for the organisation of specific domestic services as delegated by the Domestic Services Manager / Facilities Manager**

**As the Healthcare Supervisor you will participate in and ensure a consistent approach, in all staff issues, including recruitment & selection, sickness absence management and staff training needs including induction of new staff and departmental appraisal system.**

***

**Key Responsibilities**

***
- **Promote a fair and consistent approach for supervision and discipline of staff, participating in the Trust’s Grievance and Disciplinary policies and procedures as appropriate, promoting a good working environment and team spirit.**:

- **Allocating the workload in line with the planning and maintaining of staff rotas, updating work schedules as required to meet the needs of the service.**:

- **Organise and complete quality control inspections in conjunction with ward and departmental managers as required.**:

- **Maintain and complete accurate staff records, work rotas, bonus documentation and relevant monitoring documentation.**:

- **Deal with staff queries in a polite, pleasant and professional manner, authorising staff holidays and arranging staff cover in line with departmental policies.**:

- **Identify the need for cleaning materials and raise requisitions as necessary. Trial new cleaning materials and equipment as required.**:

- **Report faulty equipment, structural and fabric reports as necessary.**:

- **Ensure the Trust’s curtain changing programme is completed.**:

- **Maintain the departmental uniform policy ensuring high standards of appearance and presentation of staff are maintained at all times.**:

- **Comply with health and safety legislation, promoting high standards and acting immediately on hazards or unsafe practices in conjunction with other staff.**:

- **Participate in appraisals and personal reviews and work to achieve agreed set objectives.**

**Professional and personal competencies/qualifications**

- **Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of seniority.**:

- **Previous management experience.**:

- **The ability to work alone or as part of the wider team.**:

- **Previous Hospitality experience.**
