Hunter Savage is delighted to be working in partnership with a prestigious leading NI Firm to recruit a commercially astute Head of Finance to lead the finance function, ensuring it operates in an effective, efficient, and compliant manner. Reporting to the Managing Director the Head of Finance will sit as part of the Senior Management Team and play an integral role in the development of the firm.

**The Role**:

- Financial Management, Compliance and Reporting
- Lead and manage the Finance Department to ensure it delivers effective, efficient and compliant financial management services.
- Oversee the operation, regular review and development of financial accounting and reporting policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ensure that financial reporting and practice complies with financial standards and statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain appropriate safeguards to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports. Ensure a robust system of internal controls is in place to minimise the risk of fraud, errors or other irregularities occurring and assist staff generally in the implementation and ongoing monitoring of adherence to internal controls.
- Produce and present timely and accurate monthly management accounts to the Shareholders and Directors. Evaluate new business initiatives, including risk assessing and developing financial models to inform management decision-making.
- Lead in the production and maintenance of the financial strategy including the preparation of key financial indicators to inform the monitoring and assessment of corporate performance.
- Lead in the preparation of the annual budget, collaborating with other members of the Management Team and the subsequent monitoring of performance against approved budgets.
- Prepare financial projections and cash-flow forecasts.

**The Person**
- Qualified ICAI, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent recognised accountancy qualification and membership of relevant professional body
- A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience of financial management and preparing management accounts
- Strong IT skills
- Effective interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with others
- Strong organisational skills to work in a pressurised environment, prioritising workloads to meet targets and achieve results.
- Ability to think creatively and be able to drive the continuous improvement of services.
