HR Advisor

Murray Recruitment is actively recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract position based in the Central Lanarkshire area.

The individual in this role must be a driven, pragmatic HR professional looking for an opportunity for long-term growth whilst gaining further experience at the advisor level.

Being based within the Lanarkshire office, there is an element of the role that you will travel to and from sites covering Aberdeen and Inverness once or twice a month. You will fully support staff on all employee relations and arising issues.

**Role**
- Actively engage with Sites and be the first point of contact for employee inquiries in Scotland.
- Providing full generalist HR support to include guidance and support around disciplinary, performance, and absence management.
- Coach and develop Managers on HR policies and effectively deal with any employee issues.
- Support Directors and Managers offering support on a full range of HR related matters.
- Provide efficient and accurate administrative support to Managers, including minute-taking during relevant meetings, and handling all transactional work throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Travel to / from site locations (roughly once a month).
- Update and maintain HR information.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR systems and practices.
- Consult on issues related to workplace relations and performance management.
- Provide advice and assistance on policies, procedures and legislation.
- Deal with grievance’s & disciplinary.
- All associated administrative duties.

**Experience/Skills**
- Previous experience within an HR Advisor position.
- Ability to identify development needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Positive and flexible attitude towards work.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Education to university degree in HR or related field. CIPD desirable and opportunity to provide study support throughout contract.

**Offering**
- Salary of £34k per annum.
- Hours Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm and Friday 8am - 4pm.
