We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time (28 hour) Horticulture Specialist to join our experienced team at Frosts at Willington,

Key Responsibilities:

- Utilise your horticulture expertise to coach your team - developing product knowledge and selling techniques that enhance the customer experience and drive sales
- Assist the Head of Horticulture to maintain stock levels in line with sales targets, utilising systems forecasting for each product group through detailed sales analysis
- Work alongside Head of Horticulture to identify and drive new product trends and opportunities that fulfil customer expectations
- Organise and facilitate customer “How to ” events throughout the different seasons (supported by suppliers where possible) - focussing on delivering an exceptional customer experience, driving repeat custom and maximising sales
- Ensure that the quality and health of plants offered for sale is of the highest possible standard at all times
- Ensure that all products are clearly priced with the appropriate point of sale decor

Key Requirements:

- Ensure that outstanding levels of service are achieved by the team at all times, providing customers with a memorable experience and driving repeat visits
- Complete daily colleague briefings to ensure that all team members receive clear, appropriate and timely communication to support them to be effective in their role
- Co-ordinate the implementation of group visual merchandising initiatives in line with guidelines to the required standard
- Ensure that the team complete essential daily routines required to maintain high quality plants and protect margin
- Review daily sales reports, identifying best sellers and proposing appropriate actions to maximize sales within the area
- Effectively complete all stock processes relating to receipt of goods, stock holding and handling, and management of waste within the horticulture and garden care areas
- Implement effective working processes to reduce the risk of stock wastage
- Monitor stock availability so that key selling lines are always available for sale
- Motivate your team to be focused on sales and be aware of daily targets and their performance against those targets

To be successful you will have experience working in a similar environment. Retail / selling experience and being confident in sharing both your knowledge and skills with colleagues is required. In our fast paced environment the ability to work well under pressure is essential.

For this position alternate weekend and Bank Holiday working is a requirement.
