We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Construction Engineer to join us to focus on the technical delivery of projects and to provide support with the development of project related activities across the MTC.

You will deliver larger project's technical deliverables, while acting as Technical Lead for smaller projects where required; ensuring work meets or exceeds agreed customer requirements, within agreed budgets and timescales.

Commercially aware, you will undertake innovative Engineering research work focused primarily on technology/manufacturing readiness levels (TRL/MRL) 3+, and you will contribute to the identification, technical specification, and delivery of new and noveltechnology capability into the MTC, customers, or industrial member’s premises.

This role will require involvement in all aspects of the project delivery including but not restricted to:

- Concept generation
- Detailed design
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards
- Technical support of commissioning
- Awareness of project budget and deliverables

We’re looking for a Construction Engineer with a degree, or equivalent, in Civil Engineering along with post qualification experience.

With experience of managing construction projects through Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) stages of work, you will have the ability to undertake design for construction in a specific discipline e.g. Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing(MEP), Foundation Design or other.

Construction Design Management (CDM) awareness and experience in Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) such as offsite construction and platform approach to construction is also key to this position.
