**upport Worker/Personal Assistant - Duns - 2473 **: A
lady living in Duns who has limited movement, uses a wheelchair and has profound hearing and sight loss is looking for a personal assistant to provide 5 hours support a week on a Monday. This role involves assisting the client with eating and drinking and offering companionship as well as taking her to any appointments or for shopping using her own Motability vehicle. The client requires a PA who is patient and able to give her the time to speak and respond as she can have a delay in this. Confidentiality is extremely important to this client, and they would expect any PA to fully understand this. Her interests lie in football, current affairs, crosswords and she enjoys art.

**Terms**:
H
- ours per week: 5 hours H
- ours of work: Hours for a Monday around 12-5, although slightly flexible in this, also possible further hours to cover colleague’s annual leave. £
- 12 per hour. P
- aid annual leave entitlement of 5.6 weeks pro rata. P
- robationary period of 3 months

**ain Tasks & Responsibilities**

- o support client to ensure their safety and well-being. T
- o support with personal care needs if required. T
- o support with general care needs including meal preparation, healthy meal choices, eating and drinking. T
- o maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the client’s equipment and surroundings T
- o develop a positive relationship with the client and her family. T
- o interact with the client and engage with the activities they enjoy, primarily in the home, but also in the local community including taking supporting her in her wheelchair and driving her Motability vehicle. T
- o accompany the client on short trips out of the house for appointments or social activities. T
- o support with casual shopping and regular food shopping
