Senior Stock Controller

With an annual turnover of over £12 million, we have grown solidly since we commenced trading 10 years ago. We provide reliable delivery services to caterers of all kinds, enabling our clients to focus on their core business.
**The Role**
Food Republic are looking for a capable and skilled Senior Stock Controller to work closely with the Stock Manager and Goods In team to ensure the purchasing and replenishment of new and existing stock lines in accordance with BRC compliance and Food Republic policies and procedures.
The key responsibilities of a Senior Stock Controller include, but are not limited to:
- Ensuring all inventory and stock management systems are maintained accurately within the agreed parameters and in a timely manner
- Ensuring new supplier set-up is in line with Food Republic standards and expectations factoring in lead times and delivery frequencies
- Purchasing inventory within the agreed budgets and operational parameters
- Immediately alerting the sales and staff management when a product is short in supply or budgets have been exceeded
- Completing all necessary stock takes, adjustments and stock reconciliation at month end, and when needed
- Dealing with suppliers on a proactive basis, identifying performance issues, agreeing countermeasures, and ensuring a follow-up is complete
- Generating and analysing stock reports using Microsoft Excel to highlight short/problematic/overstocks in a clear and concise manner, and to extract relevant qualitative information
- Liaising with the Warehouse team to agree on stock holding volumes and space requirements
- Agreeing appropriate stock receiving protocols with the Warehouse Manager
- Proactively making recommendations to the management team to maintain the highest levels of compliance
- Maintaining a harmonious working relationship with suppliers and fellow team members alike
**The Person**
The key skills and qualities of a Senior Stock Controller include, but are not limited to:
Essential qualifications/knowledge
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in stock control within the food industry
- Knowledge of general stock and logistics procedures
- Strong track record of meeting deadlines and achieving set KPIs
- Proficient in data entry, maintaining a high level of accuracy
- Experience working within a diverse team
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite with strong Excel skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A team player with a flexible attitude and willingness to learn
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- GCSE Maths and English (A*- C) or equivalent
Desirable qualifications/knowledge
- Experience with internal and external audits
- Knowledge of Brexit customs and compliance
- Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365
- A-Level Maths or equivalent
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £33,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
