An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding registered health care professional to work alongside the senior management teams within the Division of Surgery and Diagnostics.

The post holder will lead the Divisions on the co-ordination of the investigation of adverse incidents (including SIRI’s and Never Events) to include enabling compliance with duty of candor and completion of investigation within designated timescales; the compilation of evidence to close action plans, support the development and implementation of all policies, procedures and guidelines.

Lead on the co-ordination of Clinical Audit where appropriate along with the development and implementation of robust audit processes to support the NHSLA accreditation process.

The post holder will be confident in the use of IT systems, analysis of data, note taking and report writing and have an understanding of complex clinical information.

The Risk and Governance Lead post is key to the coordination, monitoring and development of clinical risk management and governance systems including management of complaints. A positive outlook, self-motivation and accessibility are essential to enable the right person to promote a positive culture of learning, risk management and clinical governance awareness within the directorate teams. The post holder will be responsible for the development, review, updating and implementation of the Risk Management Strategy in line with the Trust Risk Management Strategy.
