Braunton, United Kingdom Home Instead Full time

Company Description

Home Instead has a genuine passion for making a difference to peoples lives. We are a worldwide family of caring and compassionate people who believe that our older generation have the right to live in their own home for as long as they can, if they so wish.

We provide an amazing team of local Care Professionals to support the older generation within our communities to stay safe and independent within their own home. Our Care Professionals provide companionship, meal preparation, dementia support, help with personal hygiene routines, light housework and taking clients out to appointments and even having fun.

**Job Description**:
You must have a big smile that will make each client’s face light up when they welcome you at the door. As each day is varied, you’ll need to think on your feet and it helps to be light on them too as clients often enjoy a dance following afternoon tea. A good pair of eyes and ears are essential. Ears to listen to a lifetime's worth of stories and eyes to help them find their things if they’ve been misplaced You don’t have to be a Michelin star cook but being able to make a cuppa “just right” is essential. We don’t wear uniforms (it's friendlier that way) but you must be prepared to roll up your sleeves to cook in the kitchen or bring in some flowers from the garden Timekeeping is crucial, you should arrive on time, take your time to listen, take time to understand and take time to care - we measure time in hours and each one matters. A GCSE in history is not required but helping a client relive their memories by flicking through a photo album together will be sure to make their day. You’ll need to bring oodles of patience and a sense of humour. We’re a social bunch at Home Instead who love getting together for regular training (and social events) and we’ll always be there to support you no matter what.

**Qualifications**:
As a Care Professional, you will receive industry leading training, great rates of pay and excellent support.

You will be part of a team
- which puts trust, dignity and compassion at the forefront of our care
- You will develop and learn with some of the most highly skilled and professional Care professionals / Support Workers in the sector.
- You will feel part of a team and meet other like-minded Care Professionals / Support Workers.
- You will be valued by your clients and appreciated by your employer.

We offer
- Local 24-hour office support.
- Competitive hourly rate £12- £13.20 per hour
- Company Pension Scheme.
- Paid mileage and travel time
- A friendly and dedicated office team to support you.
- Employee Assistance Programme for your health and wellbeing
- The backing of an award-winning global brand with an excellent reputation
- On-going training and development to include regular support and supervision.
- Discounts on shopping, health & beauty, family days out, food & drink through our Home Instead company benefits scheme.
- Blue light discount card eligibility.
