Technical Buyer

**Main purposes of the job**:

This opportunity will suit any person keen to get involved with a range of challenging projects in a fast moving environment.

**The Job**:

- The day to day achievement of personal and team KPI’s
- Ensuring the successful purchasing of goods for production with the best possible lead times and costings
- Being innovative and efficient in the sourcing of materials and equipment required
- The management of supplier performance and maintaining good working relations with suppliers and customers
- Conducting pricing and service negotiations, providing Camden Group with the best possible agreements with the right quality
- Maintaining stock levels and supply chain flow to ensure customers experience the best service and goods
- To perform the job in accordance with the company’s policies and procedures, especially the Equal Opportunities and Dignity at Work Policy and Procedure
- To perform any other duties as may reasonably be required from time-to-time

**The Person**:
All new hires must meet all Camden minimum employment qualifications in effect at time of hiring.
- Experience of Maintenance equipment and sourcing
- Experience working in a purchasing or procurement role
- Be able to think creatively and offer solutions
- Be passionate about working in this industry
- Have strong communication and negotiation skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
- Experience of working within in a busy department within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- An understanding of technical CAD drawings is desirable.
- Understanding of raw materials specifications.
- Knowledge of special processes.
