**JOB DESCRIPTION**
Job Title : Pharmacy Dispensary Assistant
Responsible to: Superintendent Pharmacist
Main objective: To ensure the effective and efficient running of the Pharmacy as directed by the Superintendent Pharmacist.
**Main Duties**
- Supporting the dispensing process at the Health Centre Pharmacy.
- Using your knowledge, skills and strong customer focus to accurately dispense medication for ourcustomers.
- Dispensing prescription medicines, ensuring that attention to detail and accuracy are maintained at all times.
- Talking to customers and offering information in a confident, friendly and professional manner.
- Offering appropriate information to customers on common ailments, symptoms and products.
- Taking time to understand the customers’ needs, explaining the benefits of the products in a way they understand and only selling products that are right for the customer.
- Advising customers on the range of Pharmacy services available.
- Supporting and delivering Pharmacy services and the dispensing process according to the StandardOperating Procedures.
- Assessing the legal appropriateness of dispensed prescriptions.
- Dealing with clinical and legal queries from other Healthcare practitioners within area of competence.
- Responding to customer queries in relation to prescription medicines, informing the Pharmacist of any issues.
- Ensuring all dispensary routines and Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
- Ensuring dispensary and consulting rooms are clean, tidy and free of clutter.
- Supporting the pharmacy team to ensure prescription administration is accurate and completed on time.
- Working with the pharmacy’s robotic dispensing systems to ensure accurate and efficient dispensing.
- Completing any necessary training, as advised by management.
- Helping to keep the pharmacy up to date with any legal and professional developments in pharmacy.
- Ensure any cashing up processes are followed to facilitate the accurate management of pharmacy takings.
- Any other duties.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: £11.64 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
