An industry leader for underwater technology for the defence, science and energy industries are looking for a skilled Buyer to join there growing team. The role is to manage the full purchasing process, that will include supplier performance management, negotiation of the best price and keeping to the project timescales and budgets.
**The Role - Buyer - Yateley Hampshire**
- Understand the sourcing and material requirements from the production team
- Build and manager supplier relationships
- Assist with negotiation and management of supplier terms
- Ensure you update the MRP systems
- Identify new suppliers
- Conduct cost reduction activities
- Work with quality, production, and project teams to ensure you are cohesive
**Experience/Skills - Buyer - Yateley Hampshire**
- Substantial experience in buyer role with a manufacturer
- Excellent knowledge of ERP/MRP systems
- Good understanding purchasing processes
- Experience in procuring mechanical parts and components
- Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Able to manage suppliers
