In the heart of Liverpool ONE, School Lane Hotel is the stylish little sister of Hope Street Hotel. Independent and individual, it is housed in a c.1850 building and mirrors Hope Street Hotel’s city chic style. Bedrooms are light-filled with huge original windows and three-metre-high ceilings. Beds are super-king with beautiful white linen, and bathrooms include rain-dance showers and Temple Spa products. As well as being central for shopping and dining, the hotel is within walking distance of Liverpool’s most popular attractions including Royal Albert Dock, galleries, museums and the Liverpool M&S Bank Arena and Convention Centre.
School Lane Hotel is seeking to hire a diligent & proactive Guest Service assistant who understands the importance of a first and last impression. You will be passionate about hospitality with the ability to inspire, motivate, and support the team to meet guest expectations and keep the department running smoothly. An individual who will prioritise maintaining high standards when it comes to the guest experience. You will take ownership and pride in your work.
**Your Role as a Guest Service Assistant:

- Your role will be to assign guest bedrooms as per request upon check-in
- Present an accurate bill to our guests on departure
- Assist with guest luggage and assist other front-of-house areas when needed.
- Liaising and working closely with Housekeeping and Maintenance teams to raise & resolve discrepancies
- Contribute to achieving revenue and guest satisfaction targets
- Assist in the preparation, service & set-up of breakfast
- Proactively seeking opportunities and ways to maximise revenue and develop service delivery
- Follow the company's complaint-handling & complaint-escalation procedures
- This will be a shift-based role & you will be required to work morning shifts and Afternoon/Late evening shifts at the reception desk
- You will be based at School Lane Hotel and regularly Co-ordinate & report day-to-day issues to your line Manager
- Flexibility is key, and you must be prepared to cover the occasional night shifts if required and assist with sickness and holiday cover.
**Your Skills and Experience**
- Confident, self-motivated, team worker.
- Positive, can-do attitude, service with a smile.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- At least 1 year experience in a face-to-face customer environment.
- Working knowledge of Rezlynx is an advantage but not essential.
