We are currently recruiting for a Band 7 Clinician to join the West Berkshire Specialist Community Team, (CAMHS Newbury) part of the wider West SCT teams which cover Wokingham, Reading and Newbury.

Our SCT Teams are multi-Disciplinary teams that deliver treatments to young people in the West Berkshire area living with more complex, severe, and enduring mental health problems. As a result, you will find yourself working jointly with other professionals such as Children’s social care.

The ideal clinician for the job will be someone who is interested in Child and Adolescent Mental Health, be thoughtful and reflective, and someone who likes working in a team.

The Newbury team is warm, compassionate, and welcoming. You will be provided with a very supportive introduction, with regular supervision (clinical and management) and plenty of in-house training opportunities. We also have our free parking on-site. Caseloads are protected and manageable despite a waitlist for treatment.
- Provide comprehensive assessments and therapeutic interventions to young people and their families, as appropriate
- Provide care coordination for young people open to the service
- Independently manage an appropriately sized caseload
- Use supervision effectively
- Work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and within a multiagency system
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice
- Maintain own continuing professional development and contribute to team professional development initiatives

**The 4 “must haves” for you to be considered for this role**:

- A Clinical registrable qualification i.e. Clinical or Counselling Psychologist
- Experience in Mental Health services at a Band 6 (or equivalent) level
- The ability to manage a complex caseload
- Strong team ethic
