Our client, a mortgages and savings provider, are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join their organisation, to ensure that computer systems, server infrastructure and communications networks are appropriate to the business needs and operate to the peakof their efficiency and effectiveness, including end users training. This role will also be acting as a Deputy to their CDIO.

Duties of the IT Manager will include:

- Network and systems management, including Active Directory, Azure cloud, Palo Alto firewalls, HP servers and switches, hyperconverged platforms, VMWare and Hyper V virtualisation, VOIP and Veeam backup and DR software
- Lead in technical planning for IT and cyber security systems, including cyber security management
- Liaise with end users to ensure networks and systems are fit for purpose and users obtain maximum benefit from the systems, interpret user requests to ensure accurate requirements gathering for new systems
- Design and analysis of various MI to monitor network and systems performance, uptime and cyber security, including those that are cloud based
- Manage the computer facilities, controlling and planning day-to-day operations so as to ensure that they operate efficiently and effectively.
- To carry out the designated duties as a "Deputy" to the CDIO as outlined in the Society’s Business Continuity Plan.
- Designing, updating, implementing and developing systems and networks, including cloud based

The successful individual will possess:

- A wealth of experience in IT Management
- Certifications in MCSE and CCNE would be preferable
- Have a deep understanding of managing the day to day running of all systems and networks (to include cloud based systems)
- Network management including Microsoft Active Directory, switching, firewalls, VOIP

Our client is based in Greater Manchester, however they can offer a hybrid approach to the working week. Due to the nature of the role however, there could be times you would be needed onsite 5 days per week. During training and probation you will be requiredto be on site full time.
