The purpose of this role is to provide high quality secretarial and administrative support to Associate Pro Vice Chancellor International.

**About you**

The post holder will manage an account of collaborative partners and act as the main contact for key activities. The post holder will disseminate information and knowledge, both internally and externally, while ensuring the quality and standard of provision delivered is maintained and enhanced.

**Exciting work you will do**

You will support the Head of Global Partnerships by implementing the University’s international strategy within the context of partnerships and student recruitment. You will represent the University, both overseas and within the UK, with existing and potential partners and with key contacts in international markets where international partnerships are a significant feature.

You will manage and maintain the University’s relationships with partner institutions through the development of strong relationships with key stakeholders in these organisations. You will ensure that regional partnerships activity at all levels are appropriately governed by effectively deploying for both new and existing partnerships any due diligence and risk management required by the University, through close liaison with Academic and Legal Services.

You will act in an advisory role for international partnership activity, advising members of academic and professional services staff across the University as required. You will maintain up-to-date research on the political, social, economic and educational context of designated markets / regions building the required relationships to carry this out effectively.

**The skills and experience you will need to be successful**
- Previous PA experience supporting senior executives and managers within a large organisation.
- Qualified to degree level.
- Previous experience in managing multiple diaries and inboxes.
- Previous experience in creating and circulating agendas and minute notes.
- Previous experience in project management.
- Previous experience processing invoices.
- Previous experience coding & managing expenses.
- Proven ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and handle sensitive information and issues appropriately.
- Previous experience organising and managing team events.
- Demonstrated experience providing customer care.
- Previous experience booking international travel & creating travel itineraries.
- Strong secretarial and administrative skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels.
- Ability to deal with complex situations with tact, diplomacy and discretion.
- Proven ability to work flexibly and under pressure, prioritise workloads and meet deadlines, whilst maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
- The ability to use own initiative and to work as a member of a team.
- Excellent typing skills and a good working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to deal with problems in a creative and effective manner both individually and as part of a team
- Good literacy and numerical skills are essential.
- Highly organised and reliable.

**Details about the role**

Permanent, full-time (35 hours per week).

Please note that the University is operating a hybrid working model which means a mix of working on site and from home, confirmation of days worked on campus are arranged with the line manager.
